Leitrim Youth Arts Company Limited by Guarantee is the dedicated arts hub for children and young people across County Leitrim. Operating under the auspices of Leitrim County Council, the organisation invests in the creative development of the county’s youth – a demographic that makes up roughly a quarter of the local population – recognising that participation in the arts nurtures imagination, communication, academic skills and social cohesion.

The company delivers a diverse portfolio of programmes, including the vibrant Leitrim Youth Theatre, the culturally‑rich Cruinniú na nÓg, the Bright Sparks initiative, and the Wild Words creative‑writing project for teenagers. It also supports Music Generation Leitrim, a music‑making scheme partially funded by the council, and provides specialist arts activities for schools throughout the region. Each offering is designed to break down barriers, inspire confidence and give young people a platform to explore and showcase their talents.

Based in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Leitrim Youth Arts works closely with local schools, families and community groups, ensuring that the county’s next generation has ample opportunity to engage with, create and enjoy the arts.
