FTAI IRISH FINCO DESIGNATED ACTIVITY COMPANY

The Freight Transport Association Ireland (FTAI Irish Finco Designated Activity Company) is the national multimodal trade body for the freight, distribution, passenger and logistics sectors. It champions the interests of members who move goods and people by road, rail, sea and air, ranging from express couriers and national haulage firms to construction, agrifood, fuel distribution and local authorities.

FTAI delivers a comprehensive suite of services designed to keep the industry safe, compliant and forward‑looking. Its standards programmes – TruckSafe, PassengerSafe and VanSafe – set the benchmark for fleet safety, while specialist tachograph and vehicle‑inspection services help members meet ever‑changing regulatory demands. The association also provides training, consultancy and two apprenticeships (Logistics Associate and Transport Operations & Commercial Driving) to address skills shortages and support career pathways. Through robust campaigning, representation to government at local, national and European levels, and data‑driven advice, FTAI ensures its members can navigate challenges such as Brexit, the pandemic and the drive towards decarbonised logistics.
