Ballydehob Jazz Festival Company Limited by Guarantee is the charitable organisation that brings Ireland's "best biggest small jazz festival in the world" to the coastal village of Ballydehob each May bank-holiday weekend. Over four days the festival curates a vibrant mix of live jazz performances, community-led workshops and visual arts, turning the whole village into a creative playground. Highlights include the Moonshine Shindig concerts in the Community Hall, the out-back "Jazz on the Grassy Knoll" at Levis Corner House, an outdoor aerial circus show, a world-famous jazz funeral parade, poetry slams, dance workshops and a micro-mural exhibition hidden throughout the streets. The programme also features a village music trail, a food-craft Sunday market and a range of family-friendly activities such as singing workshops with the local choir and band.
