Company Description
Clonmel Applefest is an annual cultural festival based in Clonmel that celebrates the town's food, heritage and natural environment through the prism of the arts. Each September the event brings together local and national artists, crafters, food producers and performers to showcase the rich industrial and agricultural history of the region while promoting Clonmel as a vibrant place to live and visit.
The festival's programme blends performances, workshops and community projects. Highlights include the Burning Cave Spoken-Word Cabaret, a night of experimental poetry and music; hands-on sessions such as "Learn the Secrets of Apple Preserving" with Sinéad Delahunty and "Back to the Grain: Flour Power" with Antje Huth; and the Clonmel Story Slam, a spell-binding evening of storytelling. In 2026 the festival runs from 24 to 27 September under the theme of CARE, with the majority of events and projects centred around this concept.
Clonmel Applefest serves residents, visitors and creative communities across the South-East, offering a lively platform for cultural exchange, culinary discovery and artistic expression.
