National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) is Ireland's leading specialist centre for complex rehabilitation, providing a comprehensive continuum of care for patients recovering from acute illness, injury or neurological conditions. The hospital delivers both inpatient and day-service programmes, alongside extensive outpatient and outreach services, ensuring that individuals and their families receive personalised support from a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

NRH's remit extends beyond clinical care to education and research. As a university teaching hospital, it runs a robust learning and development portfolio and currently hosts sixteen active research projects, contributing to advances in neurogenic bowel care, gender equity and other key areas. In 2024, 603 patients were successfully discharged, and 90 % of referrals arrive from acute hospitals, reflecting the trust placed in NRH's expertise.
