Company Description
Lambay Irish Whiskey Designated Activity Company crafts premium Irish whiskey on the rugged, privately‑owned Lambay Island off the Dublin coast. Drawing on the island’s volcanic Trinity Well spring, the distillery adds its distinctive water at the final stage of each batch, ensuring a flavour that is as singular as the landscape that inspires it.
The portfolio spans a small‑batch blended whiskey, a “Malt Irish” blend of three single malts, and a limited‑edition Reserve Cask Series of single malt expressions – including a 10 000‑bottle Batch 01 and the cask‑strength Cask 7494. All spirits are triple‑distilled, matured in bourbon barrels and finished in hand‑selected cognac casks, delivering a seamless marriage of Irish malt character and French cognac elegance. Lambay also offers signature cocktail recipes such as the Lambay Old Fashioned, Lambay Ginger Rogers and Irish Gold Rush, catering to both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts.
While the island’s bonded warehouse remains closed to the public, Lambay welcomes enquiries for guided walking tours and boat‑viewing experiences, arranged through local guide Eamonn Mc Grattan. The brand’s unique heritage stems from a partnership between two historic families, uniting tradition and innovation to produce a truly distinctive Irish whiskey.
