Glounthaune Homes Trust (GHT) is a not-for-profit purpose vehicle dedicated to providing high-quality, independent housing for the senior population of Glounthaune, County Cork. Recognising that many older residents wish to downsize while remaining close to their community, GHT creates modest, suitable homes that allow them to stay in the area they love, rather than relocating to distant nursing facilities.

Beyond the provision of well-designed residences, GHT's ethos encompasses a holistic approach to ageing. The Trust offers amenities and services that address physical, mental, social, educational and recreational needs, including home-based care, transport assistance, and a programme of artistic, creative and social activities. By fostering contact, support and empowerment, GHT aims to prevent isolation and promote the health and wellbeing of its residents, while also raising awareness of older people's potential among policymakers and the wider public.
