WILDLIFE REHABILITATION IRELAND

Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland (WRI) is a charitable organisation dedicated to promoting and advancing wildlife rehabilitation, welfare and protection across the island. Its core mission is to foster a society that recognises the intrinsic value of wildlife and understands that safeguarding biodiversity is essential for the health of our planet.

WRI offers a range of programmes that enable the public to get involved. Supporters can symbolically adopt native species such as otters, hedgehogs, blue tits and foxes, with proceeds helping fund the charity's work. The organisation also runs educational courses, school-based outreach, conferences and talks, and organises regular events to raise awareness of wildlife issues. A dedicated animal-hospital project provides care for injured wildlife, while a virtual shop supplies donations, merchandise and adoption kits. In addition, WRI provides information on wildlife crime and offers guidance on how individuals can assist injured animals.
