LAVINS FRUIT & VEG LIMITED

Lavins Fruit & Veg Limited is a family-run supplier of fresh produce, founded in 1986 by Mary and Eamon Lavin. From its early days the company earned a reputation for reliable, friendly service, securing a long-standing contract to supply HSE hospitals in Mayo, Galway and Roscommon - a partnership that continues to this day.

The business specialises in both wholesale fruit and a wide range of vegetables, including a dedicated line of prepared vegetables that began when Eamon peeled his first potato in 1988. Lavins sources the majority of its stock from local Irish growers, such as Tim's mushroom tunnels, Pat O'Er's cabbage from Offaly, Gary's one-day lettuce, and Ned's award-winning potatoes from Cork, ensuring the freshest possible products for retail shops, factories, hotels, nursing homes, restaurants and schools throughout the west of Ireland.

With a modern premises that was expanded in 2009 to double refrigeration capacity and enlarge the preparation area, Lavins now employs 46 staff and operates a fleet of two lorries and seven vans, delivering high-quality, wholesome produce with a flexible, professional and personable service.
