Company Description
Cork Port Terminals Services Designated Activity Company operates the Port of Cork - the world's second-largest natural harbour and the principal seaport in the south of Ireland. As a key international gateway, the port links Irish businesses and communities to global supply chains, handling a diverse range of cargo through four distinct locations across Cork.
The port uniquely offers all six shipping modes - lift-on/lift-off, roll-on/roll-off, liquid bulk, dry bulk, break-bulk and cruise - and provides direct connectivity to major European hubs such as Rotterdam, Bremerhaven and Antwerp, as well as routes to the United States, Africa and the Mediterranean. Recent investment of €89 million has delivered a deep-water container terminal at Ringaskiddy, enabling the handling of around 300 000 containers each year and supporting 45 000 local jobs. With a throughput of 10.5 million tonnes in 2020 and €145 billion in manufacturing value from its top customers, the Port of Cork delivers a world-class service to shippers, cruise operators and the wider Irish economy.
