Company Description
The Irish Association of Psychodynamic Psychotherapists (IAPP) is a community‑driven organisation dedicated to advancing the practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy across Ireland. By bringing together practising therapists, students and anyone with an interest in the field, IAPP creates a supportive network where members can share insights, discuss challenges and deepen their understanding of the unconscious mind and the therapeutic relationship.
IAPP offers a rich suite of resources, including an exclusive library of educational videos, courses and specialised materials that explore the ideas of seminal thinkers such as Freud, Winnicott, Jung and Klein. Members can also attend a calendar of workshops, seminars and training events led by experienced practitioners, and take part in advocacy initiatives that raise awareness of psychodynamic psychotherapy and promote ongoing research.
Membership is free until September 2025 and is available at three levels – Student, Associate and Practitioner – each tailored to the needs of those studying, integrating psychodynamic theory into other modalities, or practising psychodynamic psychotherapy full‑time. Joining IAPP provides access to a vibrant professional community, continuous learning opportunities and a collective voice championing the value of psychodynamic work.
