IRISH PSYCHOSOCIAL ONCOLOGY NETWORK

The Irish Psychosocial Oncology Network (IPSON) is an interdisciplinary organisation that brings together professionals dedicated to the mental‑health and emotional wellbeing of people affected by cancer. By representing nurses, counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, administrators and a range of other specialists, IPSON creates a collaborative hub for those working across cancer support centres, acute hospitals, primary‑care settings, hospice and palliative care, academia and public‑policy environments.

IPSON’s core focus is psychosocial oncology – a multi‑disciplinary specialty that addresses the psychological, social and economic impacts of cancer on patients, their families and carers. Through membership, the network offers a platform for knowledge‑exchange, professional development and advocacy, welcoming students and early‑career practitioners as well as seasoned experts.
