Hickey’s Home Farm is a family‑run enterprise based in Ardee, County Louth, where three generations combine tradition with modern technology to supply the Irish market with premium potatoes, a range of seasonal vegetables, cereals and beef. Potatoes form the backbone of the business, prompting substantial investment in state‑of‑the‑art grading, storage, growing and harvesting equipment to ensure consistent, high‑quality produce year‑round.

The farm’s diversified output includes carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips and broccoli, alongside 1,000 acres of wheat, barley and oats, most of which are harvested in‑house for animal feed. Their beef operation rears continental cattle from weanling to finishing stage, maintaining a herd of around 350 to guarantee superior meat quality. All products meet Bord Bia‑approved standards and are supplied to everyone from local retailers and large wholesalers to the on‑site farm shop, which also showcases other regional growers, freshly baked breads, cakes, jams and honey.
