The Irish Moiled Cattle Society is the recognised breed society for Ireland's rare and distinctive native Moiled cattle, operating under Regulation (EU) 2016/1012. Its core mission is to safeguard the breed and to promote continual improvement, ensuring that this traditional dual-purpose animal - prized for both high-quality beef and grass-fed milk - thrives for future generations.
The Society provides a full suite of breed-support services, including compulsory herd surveys, annual membership, birth-notification recording and official registrations. Through its online shop it offers semen, merchandise and a timed auction platform for Moiled stock, while the AI catalogue and regular news updates keep members informed of breeding opportunities and show results.
