Killary Sheep Farm Limited is a traditional working mountain farm nestled in the dramatic Connemara landscape, with sweeping views over Killary Fjord on the Wild Atlantic Way. Home to around 200 ewes and lambs, the farm specialises in hardy black‑head horned sheep that thrive in the rugged terrain and harsh winters of the west of Ireland.

The farm offers a range of immersive experiences for visitors keen to discover authentic Irish rural life. Guided tours showcase the skill of the farm’s three working dogs—Sweep, Lassie and Fly—alongside a friendly farm puppy, demonstrating the timeless art of sheep‑dog handling. Guests can also take part in hands‑on activities such as bottle‑feeding orphaned lambs (March – August) and watching a traditional hand‑shearing demonstration (June – August), a rare sight in modern farming. Private tours are available on request, allowing groups to tailor their visit to personal interests.
