THE OPEN DOORS INITIATIVE

The Open Doors Initiative is a national social-enterprise dedicated to creating genuine pathways to work for marginalised groups in Ireland. By offering a blend of training, education, employment placements and entrepreneurship support, the organisation helps refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, people with disabilities, disadvantaged youth, Traveller and Roma communities, LGBTIQ+ individuals and those with a criminal past to overcome the heightened barriers they face in the labour market.

Through its flagship "Pathways to Progress" programme-co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union-the Initiative partners with forward-thinking employers to embed corporate social-justice practices, deliver research-led interventions and monitor impact rigorously. Its collaborative, participant-centred approach is underpinned by values such as transparency, agility and a commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that both participants and businesses benefit from inclusive, high-impact outcomes.
