By tackling the city’s entrenched unemployment black‑spots, the organisation equips long‑term unemployed individuals and ex‑offenders with the practical skills and confidence needed to thrive in the construction sector.

The academy delivers a comprehensive suite of accredited, certified courses that blend industry‑aligned technical training with a holistic, trauma‑informed learning‑by‑doing approach. Core programmes include Health & Safety modules (such as Managing Safety, Working Heights and Fire Safety), Plant & Tool qualifications (excavators, MEWPs, forklifts, etc.) and trade‑specific skills ranging from tiling and blockwork to carpentry, plastering and electrical theory.
