COMMUNITY SUICIDE AWARENESS TIPPERARY COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Community Suicide Awareness Workers (C‑SAW) Tipperary is a charitable company limited by guarantee dedicated to reducing suicide rates and supporting those affected by suicide across County Tipperary. By raising awareness, providing education and offering both emotional and practical assistance, C‑SAW creates a safe, confidential space for individuals, families and friends who are bereaved or in need of support.

The organisation delivers a range of free, community‑based services. These include drop‑in listening sessions and a phone service where trained volunteers and qualified counsellors provide one‑to‑one support, as well as a bereavement group for shared healing. Regular listening hours are held in Clonmel, Tipperary Town and Nenagh, each offering a welcoming environment with refreshments and total confidentiality. All interventions are provided at no cost to the community.

Rooted in the belief that talking can have a profoundly positive impact, C‑SAW’s mission is to foster a compassionate network that educates the public, supports those in crisis and helps the wider community cope with the aftermath of suicide. Their work is driven by volunteers, local partners and a commitment to making mental‑health support accessible throughout the region.
