RSC Caritas Company Limited by Guarantee is the charitable arm of the Religious Sisters of Charity, a congregation founded by Mary Aikenhead in Dublin in 1815. Today the Sisters continue her pioneering spirit, delivering education, health-care, social and pastoral services to some of the most vulnerable people in society. With communities in Ireland, England, Scotland, California, Nigeria, Zambia and Malawi, they bring a global perspective to local needs.

The Sisters' work spans nursing the sick, comforting the dying and visiting prisoners, while also teaching children and adults in schools and community centres. They support asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants and the homeless, and champion anti-human-trafficking initiatives, offering care for survivors. Their outreach extends to people with physical and intellectual disabilities, and they run clubs, social centres and a range of spiritual programmes-including retreats, counselling, spiritual direction, chaplaincy and environmental stewardship.
