FRIENDS OF SUICIDE LOSS

Friends of Suicide Loss is a Dublin-based charitable organisation dedicated to supporting adults who have lost a loved one to suicide. Recognising that the first twelve to eighteen months after a loss are often the most challenging, the charity offers a safe, compassionate space where the bereaved can share their experiences and begin to navigate the complex emotions of shock, guilt, anger, shame and grief.

The core of their work centres on both one-to-one counselling and group-based programmes, including the well-established Dublin Support Group. In addition to direct emotional support, Friends of Suicide Loss provides practical resources and information, raises public awareness of suicide's impact on families and communities, and collaborates with similar groups nationally and internationally. The organisation also runs facilitator training to help establish local bereavement services and supports research aimed at improving the lives of the suicide bereaved.

Open to anyone over 18 who has been affected by suicide, Friends of Suicide Loss combines professional expertise with peer-led empathy, ensuring that help is always available when it is needed most.
