CORK PENNY DINNERS

Cork Penny Dinners is one of Cork's longest-standing charitable organisations, dedicated to offering a hot, nourishing evening meal to anyone who calls on its doors. Open seven days a week, all year round - including Christmas Day - the centre provides a simple, judgement-free service: a warm meal, a sandwich, fruit and a drink, all ready for takeaway.

The charity operates entirely on the generosity of individuals, local businesses and community groups, receiving donations of food, produce and expertise that keep the daily service running. Its ethos is built on mutual respect: every visitor is welcomed without questions or judgement, and service users are encouraged to treat volunteers and the facilities with the same dignity they receive.

As a registered charity (CHY 4971) with no government funding, Cork Penny Dinners relies on the goodwill of the Cork community to continue its vital work of feeding and supporting those in need.
