Wexford MarineWatch Company Limited By Guarantee is a voluntary organisation dedicated to reducing suicide and accidental deaths in the Wexford Harbour and Bridge area. Since its establishment in December 2012, the charity has coordinated a unique, inter-agency patrol service that brings together An Garda Síochána, the National Ambulance Service, Wexford Fire Service and the Irish Coast Guard to intervene swiftly when someone is in difficulty.

The core of the scheme is a network of more than 100 trained volunteers who rotate night-time patrols along the quays, harbour and bridge. Volunteers provide a listening ear, distraction and immediate information about 24-hour professional support, while also monitoring and maintaining life-saving equipment such as ring-buoys and safety ropes. Each patrol is overseen by a supervisor who liaises with emergency services to ensure rapid, coordinated responses. In addition to suicide prevention, the team helps avert accidental drownings by discouraging intoxicated or vulnerable individuals from entering the water.
