THE DOWN SYNDROME CENTRE NORTH EAST

The Down Syndrome Centre North East (DSCNE) is a dedicated non‑profit organisation that empowers children and young people with Down syndrome, their families and the wider professional community across the North East of Ireland. By offering a welcoming “place to thrive”, the centre delivers a comprehensive suite of therapeutic and developmental services designed to help each individual reach their full potential and lead independent, fulfilling lives.

Core services include Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Music Therapy, as well as specialised school‑aged and early‑intervention groups. In addition to these therapies, DSCNE runs a varied activities schedule for children with Down syndrome and their siblings, and organises social events such as “A Night in the Spotlight” to foster community connection and enjoyment.
