PROPEL EDUCATION

Propel Education is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to lifting children in the developing world out of poverty through accessible, technology-enhanced learning. Since 2002 the charity has partnered with local NGOs to develop a sustainable school complex in the Linda community of Lusaka, Zambia, providing classrooms, science labs, a library, a fully equipped computer lab and a community centre. By securing electricity, running water, sanitation and internet connectivity, Propel creates an environment where under-privileged pupils can benefit from the same digital resources enjoyed by students in the developed world.

The organisation's core programmes focus on eLearning, teacher training and community health. In collaboration with Edulution, Propel delivers a tablet-based maths and literacy platform that offers personalised tuition and real-time progress tracking for over 600 students, markedly improving exam results. Additional initiatives include scholarships for secondary education, food assistance during crises, eye-care services, and volunteer-led tuition to strengthen teaching skills. Through these integrated efforts, Propel Education empowers both learners and teachers, fostering a lasting impact on education and wellbeing across the region.
