GAMBLING AWARENESS TRUST

Gambling Awareness Trust is an independent Irish charity dedicated to reducing gambling-related harm. Through its online hub, GamblingCare.ie - launched in March 2019 - the Trust offers clear, compassionate guidance for anyone concerned about gambling, whether for themselves or a loved one. The service provides immediate advice, advocacy and referrals to a wide network of support options across the country, including residential programmes, in-person and online counselling, support groups and self-help resources.

The organisation's core aim is to broaden public understanding of safer gambling while ensuring that those experiencing problems can access help quickly and effectively. Funded solely by donations from the online and retail betting and gaming industry in Ireland, Gambling Awareness Trust channels those resources into research, education and treatment services. By signposting individuals to specialised support and keeping the public informed with regular news updates, the Trust helps people overcome the impact of problem gambling and regain control of their lives.
