Aoife's Clown Doctors Company Limited By Guarantee is a charitable organisation that brings laughter and relief to children in Irish hospitals. Their team of professional actors, trained specifically for the clinical environment, visit the paediatric wards of Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin, the Temple Street Hospital and Galway University Hospital, delivering "clown rounds" that transform anxious, stressful moments into bursts of joy for both young patients and their families.

The charity offers a range of ways for the community to get involved. Corporate sponsorships fund individual clown rounds, while fundraising events such as the Truckin 4 Charity drive and local fitness challenges raise the money needed to keep the rounds running. Volunteers can also apply to become clown doctors themselves, adding their own humour, songs and jokes to the programme. Since its launch in 2019, Aoife's Clown Doctors has created over 7 300 smiles, proving that, as they say, laughter truly is the best medicine.
