TOUCHING HEARTS COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Touching Hearts Company Limited by Guarantee is a charitable organisation dedicated to creating a new Sacred Heart Centre in Waterford city for children with physical and learning disabilities and their families. The charity was founded to address the pressing limitations of the current building - a cramped, ageing facility with no on-site parking, inadequate outdoor space and no wheelchair-adapted seating - and to ease the strain on local health services.

Through fundraising, financial donations, volunteering and community-led events such as coffee mornings, Touching Hearts is working towards its €1.5 million target to fund a purpose-built centre. The new premises will enable the delivery of a broader range of specialist services for children with special needs, providing a safe, accessible playground and family-friendly spaces that are currently lacking.

The organisation shares the personal stories of children like Tom and Hannah and highlights community initiatives such as the annual "Blaas for Kids" campaign, underscoring its commitment to improving everyday life for the children and families it serves.
