ORIGINS FOSTER CARE LIMITED

Origins Foster Care is an independent Irish agency dedicated to supporting both prospective and existing foster carers across the country. Founded and owned by two practising social workers with extensive experience of the Irish care system, the organisation adopts a trauma‑informed approach, recognising the impact of trauma on children and equipping carers with the knowledge and guidance needed to foster recovery and resilience.

The service portfolio includes personalised assistance through every stage of the fostering journey – from initial enquiries and eligibility checks to the full application process – as well as ongoing mentorship, training resources and a monthly podcast, *Voices – The Origins Foster Care Podcast*, which shares authentic insights from carers, care‑experienced individuals and fostering professionals. In addition, Origins offers social‑work placement referrals and maintains a transparent HIQA‑approved framework, ensuring high standards of care and support for the roughly 6,000 children in state care in Ireland.
