SEX WORKERS ALLIANCE IRELAND

Sex Workers Alliance Ireland (SWAI) is a rights-focused organisation that works directly with current, former, indoor, outdoor and online sex workers of all genders across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Its core mission is to strengthen human rights, safety and dignity for sex workers, championing a human-rights and harm-reduction approach to policy and law.

SWAI delivers practical support and advocacy through a range of specialist services. It offers a newly launched Sex Worker Awareness Training for public bodies and employers, and a comprehensive "Know Your Rights" guide that explains the legal landscape, interactions with the Gardaí and steps to take if arrested. In addition, the alliance runs campaigns for the de-criminalisation of sex work, produces research on the experiences of migrant sex workers, and facilitates the participation and leadership of sex workers in policy development.

By placing sex workers at the centre of decision-making, SWAI strives to create a safer, stigma-free environment where all workers can exercise their rights and access the health and support they need.
