Galway City Community Network (GCCN) is the Public Participation Network for Galway City, acting as the principal representative forum for community, voluntary, social-inclusion and environmental organisations across the city. By linking groups directly with Galway City Council and other state bodies, GCCN enables members to influence local decision-making, ensuring that the voices of residents-especially the most marginalised-are heard in policy development.

The network offers a suite of services designed to strengthen capacity and foster collaboration. Through its representation platform, GCCN secures seats on local committees and partnerships; its policy platform shapes city programmes to meet community needs; and its information hub disseminates funding alerts, event news and training opportunities. Members can also join thematic Linkage Groups, take part in projects, and attend workshops that build skills and promote sustainable, inclusive development. With over 180 groups already involved, GCCN provides a vibrant space for networking, knowledge-sharing and collective action, underpinned by core values of equality, diversity and sustainability.
