KINIA

Kinia is an education-focused non-profit, charity and social enterprise dedicated to creating opportunity for children, young people and their communities across Ireland. By developing and delivering creative, fun and educational kits for kids aged eight and up, Kinia equips learners with skills such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, digital literacy and a lifelong love of learning. Every purchase from the Kinia shop directly funds programmes in schools and youth services, helping to bridge the rural-urban divide, close the gender gap in STEM, and make higher-education pathways in science, technology, engineering, medicine and digital fields accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic background.

Beyond the kits, Kinia runs a range of free training and events-including AI workshops, Irish-language podcasting sessions, and digital-equipment introductions-delivered both online and in-person at venues such as the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin and education centres in Cork, Ennis and Limerick. Volunteers can also join as reading buddies or explore Google for Education opportunities. With over 400,000 children and young people engaged, more than 24,000 educators supported, and a network of thousands of schools, youth centres and trained volunteers, Kinia's transparent, community-driven model ensures that every child has the vision and pathway to achieve their dreams.
