Company Description
Social Anxiety Ireland is a non-profit charity dedicated to helping people across the island overcome Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD). Drawing on evidence-based Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), the organisation runs a structured 14-week Group Treatment Programme that guides participants through screening, weekly small-group sessions and ongoing peer support. Each cohort is limited to ten people, creating a safe, judgement-free environment where members can share experiences, learn practical coping strategies and rebuild confidence under the guidance of experienced clinical psychologists and trained group leaders.
The service begins with a brief online screening followed by a one-hour interview to confirm diagnosis and suitability. Once accepted, participants embark on the weekly programme, after which they are invited to stay connected through a supportive alumni network. Fees are €500, with the charity able to reduce or part-fund costs for those experiencing financial difficulty. By partnering with recognised national mental-health organisations, Social Anxiety Ireland ensures that its participants receive high-quality, compassionate care that is both accessible and effective.
