TRANSPARENCY LEGAL ADVICE CENTRE

Transparency Legal Advice Centre (TLAC) is the only independent law centre in Ireland dedicated to offering free, specialist legal advice to whistle-blowers. Operating under the umbrella of Transparency International Ireland, TLAC provides confidential support to individuals who wish to expose corruption, fraud or other wrongdoing, helping them navigate the legal complexities of speaking up safely.

The centre's core service is its free legal advice, delivered by a full-time solicitor and a team of volunteers. To date, TLAC has assisted 74 whistle-blowers and, alongside the Speak Up Helpline, has helped more than 1,200 victims and witnesses of misconduct across the country. By offering guidance on protection rights, reporting procedures and potential legal actions, TLAC empowers people to challenge illicit activity without fear of retaliation.

Funded solely by public donations, TLAC relies on community support to expand its capacity and reach even more individuals in need of advice. Its work forms a vital part of Ireland's broader fight against corruption, ensuring that power is exercised in the public interest.
