MOSSFIELD ORGANIC FARM LIMITED

Mossfield Organic Farm Limited is a family-run dairy operation situated six miles from Birr in County Offaly, at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Since converting to organic farming in 1999, the farm has built a reputation for producing milk, yoghurt and buttermilk that are as close to nature as possible. The herd of eighty cows grazes on limestone pastures rich in wild herbs and clover, delivering milk that is never homogenised or standardised, so the natural cream remains intact.

The farm's product range is deliberately small but carefully crafted. Bottled milk is sold in its pure, unprocessed form, while the natural yoghurt contains no added milk powders and is also un-homogenised. These dairy delights are supplied each Wednesday to a growing network of independent shops across Offaly and Dublin, and the farm welcomes feedback and suggestions from its customers.
