The Institute of Legal Costs Accountants (ILCA) is the professional body that represents and governs legal costs accountants throughout Ireland. With roots stretching back over fifty years, the Institute evolved from the original Association of Legal Costs Accountants and now provides a recognised framework for members to uphold standards, share expertise and promote the interests of the profession.

ILCA's core activities include maintaining a comprehensive member directory, offering guidance on membership eligibility, and delivering up-to-date information on best practice and regulatory developments. While the Institute itself does not dispense legal-cost advice, it serves as a vital hub for practising legal costs accountants, ensuring they have the resources and community support needed to serve their clients effectively.

Based in Dublin, the Institute operates Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm, and welcomes new members who wish to join a respected organisation dedicated to the advancement of legal costs accounting across the country.
