VISION SPORTS IRELAND

Vision Sports Ireland is the National Governing Body dedicated to promoting sport and physical activity for people who are blind or vision-impaired across the island. Working in partnership with other national governing bodies, it delivers a wide network of programmes and events in a variety of sports, from swimming and football to cycling, ensuring that participants of all ages and abilities can enjoy meaningful, inclusive activity.

The organisation's flagship strategy, Beyond Vision 2025-2028, sets out an ambitious roadmap for nationwide inclusion. It champions leadership in accessibility, builds lifelong pathways for children, adults and older adults, drives cultural change in clubs and schools, and embeds lived experience into policy and advocacy. Vision Sports Ireland also runs a Knowledge Hub to capture and share research insights, offers volunteering opportunities, and recognises elite athletes such as champion cyclist Damien Vereker.

Through these initiatives, Vision Sports Ireland is creating a vibrant, accessible sporting landscape for the blind and vision-impaired community throughout Ireland.
