GUBBEEN FARM HOUSE PRODUCTS LIMITED

Gubbeen Farm House Products Limited is a family-run food producer situated on a 250-acre coastal farm in West Cork, just a mile outside the fishing village of Schull. Drawing on generations of farming experience, the Fergusons turn the farm's natural resources into a range of artisan foods that reach customers as seasonally and as freshly as possible.

The core of the business is Gubbeen cheese, crafted from milk produced by the herd that grazes on GM-free pasture. Complementing the cheese are over 50 smoked-meat and charcuterie products, created from pigs reared on-farm and finished in airy, straw-filled pens overlooking the Atlantic. In addition, the farm supplies free-range poultry, rare-breed turkeys and geese, and a bio-dynamic garden that provides herbs, salads and seasonal vegetables for local chefs and farmers' markets.

Although Gubbeen does not operate a shop or offer farm tours, the family regularly meets customers at farmers' markets throughout the year, sharing the flavours of their gentle, sustainable corner of West Cork.
