Mayfield Youth Training Workshop Company Limited By Guarantee operates a Community Training Centre (CTC) in the heart of Mayfield, Cork, delivering friendly, informal education and employment-related services to young people aged 16-21. The centre focuses on early school leavers and the unwaged, offering a two-year pathway to a nationally recognised certification equivalent to the Leaving Certificate, with learning paced to suit each individual.

Students can choose from six core programmes - Office Skills, Culinary, Construction, Sports & Recreation, Hospitality and Woodwork - and benefit from supplementary classes in Communications, Personal Effectiveness, Maths, IT, Art, as well as coding, animation and music through the S.P.H.E curriculum. A dedicated advocate provides one-to-one career guidance, arranging work-experience placements, helping with further study options, and identifying employment opportunities and grant funding. Weekly training allowances of €45 (under-18) or €244 (18-21) are available for eligible participants receiving a Department of Social Protection payment. Applications are accepted year-round, with continuous intake to accommodate each learner's unique journey.
