Kilkenny Art Gallery Society Company Limited By Guarantee - better known as the Butler Gallery - is a vibrant visual-arts hub situated in the heart of Kilkenny City. The gallery presents a dynamic programme of exhibitions, ranging from the ongoing "For Smart Living" show to the celebrated O'Malley Collection, which showcases works by Tony and Jane O'Malley. In addition to its rotating displays, the gallery runs artist-led projects, workshops, classes and talks that invite participants of all ages to learn, create and engage directly with practising artists.

Beyond the exhibition spaces, the Butler Gallery offers a welcoming Wild Flower Café, complete with a light-filled garden setting for visitors to enjoy locally sourced produce, specialty teas and coffees. The venue also celebrates its heritage through the Evans' Home history and archaeological work carried out during recent refurbishments. Membership as a "Friend" provides supporters with exclusive access to events and a monthly newsletter that keeps the community informed about new exhibitions, creative programmes and cultural initiatives. Opening hours include Thursday late-night sessions (10:00-20:00) and Sunday openings (11:00-17:00).
