Company Description
Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne Teoranta is a dedicated cultural‑heritage organisation operating as a subsidiary of the long‑standing development co‑operative Comharchumann Forbartha Chorca Dhuibhne. Founded in 1980 and based in Baile an Fheirtéaraigh on the Dingle Peninsula, the company works to celebrate, promote and preserve the rich linguistic, archaeological and cultural legacy of the Irish‑speaking area of Corca Dhuibhne.
The organisation offers a range of Irish‑language and heritage courses aimed at adult learners, providing immersive experiences that combine language study with local history and traditional activities. In addition, Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne organises spectacular mountain and coastal walks across the peninsula, allowing participants to explore the landscape that has inspired generations of poets and storytellers. Their publishing arm produces a variety of Irish‑language and cultural titles, and the group also manages a regional museum that showcases the area’s unique past.
Through these programmes, publications and projects, Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne serves both locals and visitors who wish to deepen their connection with the language, culture and natural beauty of West Kerry.
