ST. HILDA'S SERVICES

St. Hilda's Services is a community-driven voluntary organisation founded in 1964 that delivers high-quality support to people with mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Based in Athlone, the charity serves more than 120 service users and their families, placing the needs and choices of individuals at the heart of every decision.

The organisation's distinctive governance model is comprised largely of parents and family members, ensuring that care always comes first. Through a person-centred planning approach, staff work in partnership with families to explore interests, develop skills and create meaningful activities that can evolve into lasting roles and relationships. This consistent, collaborative method builds confidence, strengthens connections and promotes a "good life" for each person.
