PSE KINSALE ENERGY LIMITED

PSE Kinsale Energy Limited is the pioneer behind Ireland's first offshore gas field, situated in the Celtic Sea off the County Cork coast. From 1978 until 2020 the company extracted natural gas from these waters, providing the nation's sole indigenous source of gas until 2015 and playing a vital role in Ireland's energy landscape for more than four decades.

The firm's core activity centred on the development, operation and management of the offshore facilities that delivered this indigenous supply. Following the cessation of production in 2020, PSE Kinsale Energy oversaw a comprehensive de-commissioning programme, successfully completing the removal of all offshore infrastructure in July 2023.

Through its historic operations and responsible de-commissioning, PSE Kinsale Energy has demonstrated a long-term commitment to safe, sustainable energy provision and the stewardship of Ireland's marine environment.
