GOOD SHEPHERD CORK

Good Shepherd Cork is a charitable organisation dedicated to preventing homelessness and supporting vulnerable women, children and teenage girls in the Cork area. Its flagship project, Edel House, offers emergency accommodation for up to ten families and 23 single women, providing a safe, welcoming environment where each resident is paired with a key worker to help stabilise their situation.

Beyond emergency shelter, Good Shepherd Cork runs a range of specialist services: Riverview delivers residential care for girls aged 15-19 who are at risk of leaving home; Redclyffe, the new Family Hub, offers family-focused emergency housing for up to 17 families, complete with communal facilities; and a Supported Housing programme supplies long-term, quality accommodation for single adult women. The organisation also provides a client-led Support & Advocacy service, the Bruac Education & Development project for women unable to access mainstream education, and a B&B Outreach team that assists families currently living in temporary hotel or B&B accommodation.

Through these integrated programmes, Good Shepherd Cork works to empower its service users, helping them transition from crisis accommodation to independent, sustainable living.
