The Security Institute of Ireland (SII) is the recognised sectoral body for the Irish security industry, overseeing education, course development, training, certification and liaison with national regulatory authorities. It delivers a comprehensive portfolio of qualifications - from certificates and advanced certificates to diplomas - that enable professionals in both the public and private sectors to progress their careers and meet statutory standards.

SII's specialist services include the design and delivery of bespoke security-risk assessments, expert-witness consultancy and the production of industry manuals covering asset risk management, employee safety and counter-terrorism measures. Its learning platform offers flexible classroom-based and fully online courses, such as the Certificate in Terrorism Awareness, the Advanced Certificate in Managing Employee Safety and a range of static, retail and event-security qualifications.

Based in Naas, County Kildare, the Institute serves clients throughout Ireland, providing the knowledge and competence required to identify risks, implement preventative strategies and respond effectively to emergencies.
