Someone Like Me – Your Cancer Community Limited is a survivor‑led digital platform that creates a supportive, peer‑to‑peer space for anyone affected by cancer. By matching users according to age, cancer type, location and shared experiences, the service helps patients, survivors and families find people who truly understand their journey, reducing the sense of isolation that often accompanies a diagnosis.

The platform offers a suite of resources designed to empower its community. Members can “wave” to start private one‑to‑one chats, explore a library of personal stories, and listen to the “Someone Like Me Your Cancer Community” podcast hosted by survivor Vanessa Mooney, which delivers raw, honest conversations about life with cancer. In addition, a curated collection of practical resources provides guidance on support services and everyday challenges. All of these features are available free of charge, with the option to remain anonymous and without the need to share medical details.

Currently operating as an online service, Someone Like Me is building anticipation for its forthcoming app, inviting interested users to join a waiting list and be notified as soon as the launch occurs.
