The Luan Fund Company Limited by Guarantee is a charitable fund dedicated to giving people a “leg up” when they find themselves caught between self‑sufficiency and state support. Funded entirely by philanthropic donations, the Fund works with existing charities, social entrepreneurs, community groups and other organisations, as well as providing direct assistance to individuals who are facing disability, poverty, trauma, addiction or simply a bout of bad luck.

Its core specialisations are three‑fold. In education, the Fund offers bursaries, resources and mentorship to the most disadvantaged students, partnering with Irish universities and schools to help them achieve their academic goals. In the community sphere, it finances projects that promote health, inclusion and opportunity for all, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability or income. A newer focus is animal welfare, where the Fund supports shelters and volunteer groups tackling the post‑pandemic crisis affecting Ireland’s animals.
