East Coast Jiu‑Jitsu Academy (ECJJA) is a Dublin‑based martial‑arts centre dedicated to teaching Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu, No‑Gi grappling and wrestling to students of all ages and abilities. From beginners taking their first steps on the mat to seasoned competitors seeking to refine their technique, the academy offers a welcoming environment where confidence and skill are built side‑by‑side.

The academy’s programme is split into clearly defined pathways: Junior Kids (5‑7 years), Senior Kids (8‑13 years), Teens, Adults and a Pro Team for those aiming for competition. Each class blends technical instruction with core values such as respect, teamwork and perseverance, while interactive drills develop coordination, balance and agility. Specialist adult courses include introductory sessions, beginner groups and advanced training in both Gi and No‑Gi formats, as well as dedicated wrestling classes.

Led by a team of black‑belt instructors – Marcus Phelan (Head Coach), Neil McGwynne and Adam Larkin – ECJJA prides itself on a supportive, community‑focused atmosphere that helps practitioners of any background, from five‑year‑olds to those over sixty, achieve their personal best on and off the mat.
