EALA – Le Chéile Company Limited by Guarantee is a national charitable organisation dedicated to giving vulnerable young people and their families a steady, supportive hand. By matching trained volunteers with mentees for just one to three hours a week, the charity creates lasting, positive change for those at risk, those who have come into conflict with the law and the parents who need guidance.

Le Chéile’s core services include Youth Mentoring, Parent Mentoring, Restorative Justice programmes and Family Support, notably the Strengthening Families Programme. All programmes are volunteer‑led, with more than 250 committed mentors delivering personalised encouragement, stability and practical advice across the Republic of Ireland.

Through its evidence‑based, community‑focused approach, Le Chéile not only helps mentees develop confidence and resilience, but also offers volunteers a deep sense of purpose and fulfilment, proving that a few hours of time can truly transform lives.
