Company Description
The Irish Uyghur Cultural Association (IUCA) is a volunteer‑led, not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to amplifying Uyghur voices, preserving their cultural heritage and campaigning for human rights across Ireland. Through public events, film screenings, panel discussions and peaceful protests, IUCA raises awareness of the ongoing genocide, forced‑labour and transnational repression faced by Uyghur, Tibetan and other minority women in China, while urging Irish policymakers to prioritise justice over economic interests.
Key activities include organising educational workshops, curating cultural exhibitions, and producing media‑focused campaigns such as the recent screening of *All Static & Noise* at the Irish Film Institute. The association also provides a platform for survivors and exiles to share their stories, and it mobilises supporters to pressure governments and corporations to adopt sanctions, recognise the Uyghur genocide and eliminate forced‑labour from supply chains.
Operating throughout Ireland – with notable actions in Dublin – IUCA invites volunteers, donors and the wider public to join its mission of safeguarding Uyghur culture and championing freedom for a persecuted people.
