Company Description
Littleton Wind Farm Designated Activity Company is the project vehicle behind the proposed Littleton Wind Farm in County Tipperary. Formed as a 50:50 joint venture between BnM and SSE Renewables, the company is dedicated to delivering up to 800 MW of new on‑shore wind capacity across the Irish Midlands, with the Littleton site forming a key part of that ambition.
The farm will comprise eleven modern turbines, each with a 200 metre tip height, designed to generate clean, renewable electricity for Ireland’s domestic market. In addition to the core generation asset, Littleton Wind Farm DAC provides a full community‑engagement programme, offering a designated Community Liaison Officer, regular public information evenings and a mailing list to keep local residents informed. The company also outlines a suite of community‑benefit initiatives that aim to deliver tangible advantages to neighbours throughout construction and operation.
Based in the Littleton area of Thurles, Co Tipperary, the team works closely with local stakeholders to ensure the project aligns with regional aspirations while contributing to Ireland’s national target of 80 % renewable electricity by 2030.
